No. Brutus Server needs to be installed on a Windows box somewhere on
the LAN. e-b is the client part. Brutus Server takes care of translating
whatever e-b says into native MAPI.

Sure. The only limiting factor is how many client connections the server
hardware is able to handle. If it is only you then only a small box is
needed.

If the Windows PC is connected to the LAN using your laptop as a
router/gateway, then yes. As a rule of thump: If you could (in principle
at least) install and run Outlook on the Windows PC then it is good
enough for Brutus Server.
