Ghibbsa, I'm not sure that works because it assumes there is an absolute space background (sort of like the aether) defined by the NON-rotating center of the earth. Why would that be the case? In other words what is that "hell of a lot faster" motion relative too, and why do we choose that frame as the correct/absolute one?
