*You really should look at that video because it shows a way to state the 
twin "paradox" such that no acceleration is involved, but even in that case 
it can be resolved and he demonstrates it's not a paradox at all, it's just 
a strange situation.  People call it a "paradox" because, although they 
remember time dilation and length contraction, they forget a third equally 
important thing special relativity tells us about the universe, the 
impossibility of absolute simultaneously except for the case of two events 
occurring at the same place and at the same time. So even if you can run 
faster than me I can still beat you to the finish line if I hear the 
starting gun before you do.*

problem, if it's caused by the fallacious assumption of symmetry. I haven't
