Hi Sarah

Do you make the status of Offsite available for holds or are they in the
offsite status for a brief enough period of time that it doesn't really impact
holds targeting?

Subject: [Evergreen-general] Re: Offsite collections

We're part of Evergreen Indiana and got the consortium to create a new item
status, "offsite", that functions like the display status. Items going to the
farmer's market get a status change to "offsite", no override for checkouts and
when they are returned they check in to their regular home location and
reshelving/available status. Items that aren't checked out at the market just
go through a check in upon return to the building and switch back to
reshelving/available status.

Status changes can be done as batches so this is a pretty quick and
user-friendly method.
