We use Leid (https://www.secureassetcontrol.com/libraries-schools-universities/). Ours is outdoors, but there is a small overhang protecting the lockers. We have used them since 2017 and have never had issues with water/weather damage to items in the lockers.
The locker software does not interface with the ILS, so each locker assignment must be entered manually; however, it's easy to do so. We enter the last five digits of the account number (you can specify the number of digits; five provides enough unique numbers for our patron size), and the system automatically assigns the patron to the next available locker. The software (or at least the version we use) is not the most user-friendly, but once you learn your way around it's OK. Our struggle has been making it easy for patrons to request lockers as a pick-up location in Evergreen. Our solution for the time being was to set up a location of lockers, as if it were a branch. Patrons then select it as their pick-up location. If you have more questions, let me know. Cheers. Not to start this conversation on a negative note, but I can tell you who NOT to go with. We have SMIOTA lockers and they are just not meant for library use. They are not outside-friendly (thought they told us they were), they have a very small staff, thus poor customer service. It does not live-query the ILS, so we have to do a full patron load every month or more often to make sure our patrons are in the kiosk system. I know every vendor has good and bad recommendations, but I strongly advise against them until they can improve their capabilities to support libraries. What are JCL staff reading?
