It's pretty easy to "rip" music from a CD to MP3 files, which you can then listen to on your phone or in your car. You own the music, and "ripping" from CD to MP3 is legal for personal use. You just need a computer with a CD or DVD drive and a program to do the ripping, and there are many free programs depending on your computer's operating system. Just google "Best free CD ripper" and add your operating system.
Example for windows: https://www.techradar.com/best/cd-ripper Once you have the MP3 files on your computer, you can copy to a USB stick which most cars can play directly, or plug your phone into your computer and copy them over to your phone. Now you have all your music, and it doesn't depend on anyone's "cloud" service, nor need any internet connectivity to play.
