Full disclosure: I did see a small amount of smoke being emitted by the two affected cells after the short circuit was (quickly) removed. Burned-off tabs probably aren't repairable.

I don't disagree with the logic in this, what I see is that the internet is flooded with modules that have been washed out of service due to low capacity, most seem to be <50% SoH, which would result in a less than optimal overall capacity for the entire pack.

Know of any sources for a onesey-twosey purchase of higher grade modules? Greentec Auto seems to be a big player in marketing modules, prices seem to be reasonable, although shipping is flat rate rate for any quantity. They do have a fleabay store account, which might provide some buyer assurance of satisfaction. I need to query them to see if they will consider hand-picking some modules of a capacity that matches the rest of my pack.
