While those are interesting - I also need at least a 150A discharge current when going up hill with my cart. (i.e. my driveway)
So, I'd need at least 2X either of those choices.

I'm retired, and do have more time than money right now.
I'm HOPING the old Nicd's will work, though it  looks like I'll need 2 strings of those to get the voltage to stay high enough with the big amp draws. The Nicd's also have the advantage of not needing a bms, and I can use the existing charger in the cart.

If they don't work out for this - I'll probably end up putting some in my old little forklifts that use 12v (2x6v), and don't have as large current draws.

I do have some older Leaf Modules (probably at 50% capacity) that I might also try.  They are currently setup as 3p, so I'd use 5 sets of them. I do already have a BMS for those (which, conveniently, comes in 3 module increments), but would also need to setup better charger.

You could also do something like 4 of these for $553 total ($138.23 each):

I have one of these in my boat, it's been great so far, now I don't have to worry about trickle charging the shitty PBA over the winter.

    What's your time worth?

I found a local deal on 280Ah CALB cells that are in excellent
shape to make a 48v pack with, Paid $600 for 16 cells, and spent
    $140 on a smart BMS.

For 100Ah, you could get one of these with free shipping for $800
on sale: https://www.ebay.com/itm/126715493848 Has the BMS built in.
