Hi All,
I was wondering if anything bad will happen if I take a Miata rear subfame and
make it face aft instead of forward to put the motor in back?
I'm trying to find a lower cost way to put my 63 Vette on the road, and room
is at a premium as not much inside a Vette.  I got a 92 Vette filled subframe,
didn't work. Putting the motor behind the diff does.
A lot has happened lately as hurricane Milton took 3 major oak trees down on my
lot, crushing my tiny home.  While this sounds bad the trees are already
removed, the house is in a pile to be picked up.
And a new solar one starting soon I'll use as a model to sell more as
western Florida from Ft Myers to Pensacola is destroyed to the 5' above sea
level.
I also have another TH  on the property that wasn't damaged I was in, as
worried about the tree falling on the other.
Because I build my own, I got enough FEMA money to cover everything, parts,
tree removal, help.  Had the money in the bank in 4 days.
And enough to do the FreedomEV and my all composite 63 Vette by using the EV
parts from my S-10 EV that got a head on accident while stopped at a light.
Still drives but is history.  It's suspension is too heavy as a 1/2 ton to
carry it's original lead pack.
I wanted to do a Tesla rear subframe, but I have these parts and have the
knowledge to do it this way, and cheaper.
Without the trees I can now use solar, wind, and directly charging my S-10 from
the panels.  And ran my home from my V2L all my EVs have had 32 yrs, for 2.5
days when the power went out and 4 days during Irma.
I'll be going off grid on solar cutting my bill by 75%.  I already have
everything, batteries, panels, but a solar inverter I'll be ordering next week.

Thanks, Jerry Dycus
