Yeah, avoid!  Needs all proprietary stuff Ford hasn't released.

The best solution if you have the money IMO is to go with a Tesla Model 3/Y
rear motor with a good 3rd party controller.  I recommend the EVcontrols
T2C, I helped Chris create it, and it's a solid unit with excellent support.

We use this Tesla drive unit in our van conversions (installed in front).
It's very robust and powerful, makes the van more reliable than the other
OEM efforts.  (Until Tesla releases a van!)
