That's encouraging. We recently got the mini cooper EV, which has less range (about 100 miles) though quite adequate for urban area trips. But that and the fiat 500 are the only two really small cars, effectively 2 seater, available in the US. I hope there's demand for more and, if so, the addition of the EC3 equivalent would be welcome.

I'm still waiting for a production minivan of some sort, suitable for hauling construction materials or 4-5 people, and with enough range for a road trip. So far, nothing. Maybe the ID Buzz will work or the Canoo, but neither are available yet. If one of the small delivery vans were to have longer range, that could work. Again, so far, nothing.

Subject: [EVDL] EVLN: Yet another affordable EV ...

... and this one looks more likely to make it to the US.

I've previously mentioned the Citroen EC3, which has recently gone on sale
in Europe. It's a very affordable EV, priced at under 24,000 euros (about
US$26k). It's a supermini-size (subcompact) tall, boxy hatchback with a
44kWh battery and a 320km range.

Citroen is well known and sold all over Europe, but it hasn't had any
presence in the US for decades. So it's very unlikely that the US will get
the EC3.

However, it might get a Fiat-branded version, the Grande Panda.

The Fiat will be built on the same platform and will use the same 44kWh LFP
battery and drivetrain as the Citroen.

The article linked below suggests a 150mi range for the US version. At the
typical small-car 250Wh/mi, I'd estimate something more like 170mi range,
but we'll see.

It sounds like the price will be significantly less than $30k, though I
think the article's speculation of $25k might be overly optimistic.

Would you be interested in an EV like this if it arrived on US shores? Does
it have enough range? Would you pay $26k or $28k for it?
