When it is truly a life or death situation, who cares about charging inlet or cable? You only need to be able to drive away. Grab a $0.25 12V relay. Install a panic button on yr dash (or re-use the 4-way flasher button) that will result in the relay interrupting the Proximity signal, or the Pilot. Either will always signal the car and EVSE that the session is stopped and you will be able to drive the car away to escape from the danger. Cor.
