Much of the public are holding on to legacy autos, fearing stranded assets. 
Wait and see situation.  In China gas vehicles are an extremely hard sell. 
China has a surplus of gas-powered cars due to a rapid shift to electric 
vehicles (EVs) and declining demand for internal combustion engine (ICE) cars. 
China has more than 100 factories that can produce almost 40 million ICE cars 
annually, which is roughly double the number of cars that Chinese consumers 
want to buy. As a result, sales of ICE cars are dropping quickly.Lawrence
