I agree, on both counts. A recent study noted that pickup trucks are the #1 selling vehicles in almost every state in the US. Most pickup truck drivers dislike the poor gas mileage; but are staunchly anti-EV. Making it a hybrid means Stellantis can market it as an ICE that gets better gas mileage. That will strongly appeal to the motor-heads. Who knows?
