I'd hardly call this a "Solar powered" vehicle. The single 225w panel on there isn't going to contribute much range when he's maxing out that 1kW hub motor. His pack is so small that he can't even bank the extra range when he's not driving, again, he'd probably be better off mounting the panel on his house, then he can use the grid as his battery and charge the car at night.
But props on building a cheap EV! (Though I wouldn't want to be caught dead in it, which is likely with traffic in India!)
