We in general convert porky vehicles with bad aerodynamics or maybe buy a Tesla which is the best but porky EV on the road. Seems to me using chromoly and other light materials we could recreate a Stella vehicle and make it safe using Formula 1 technology. You could repurpose a VW pan maybe and get down to 1,200 pounds but that might not be light enough. Depends if you can put more than 1.5kw in the panel. The formula is 850 pound weight, 1.5kw panel, 15kwh battery, coefficient of drag of .16. Benefits are 5 passenger vehicle with a trunk and cup holders. Small battery so more can be made. It is just an engineering problem and the first company to mass produce will have a winner. I've been in the original Stella and it was comfortable with seating for four. Lawrence Rhodes
