Certainly a fair point, if you want it but don’t want to lease.

Honda seems to put new technology in a “lease-only” category initially.

Mine is the first car I’ve leased. I bought our other EV, and probably would 
have been better off with a lease as the technology is changing and improving 
rapidly. With my new Clarity, I will only get some minor (but important) 
improvements, but a newer model in the next few years will have major 
advancements.
