Hmmm; that makes me think. What about some kind of gate that blocks the EV parking spot until you "put money in the meter" (probably with your Smartphone without even getting out of your car). That way, you have to pay for the spot. An ICE driver won't want to pay, and won't have the App to do it anyway.

If firms are going to charge outrageous $/KWH for charging, they might as well give you some perks for the privilege (like "reserved parking").
