Tinfoil hat time again.

I guess this is fine for those who want it.  But as we're seeing with 
increasing regularity - such as the case of the parent who heard a 
stranger's voice coming out of the baby monitor in her kid's nursery - it's 
not as easy at it looks to secure these "smart" devices.  

A smart EVSE adds convenience.  Great.  What does it subtract from your 
privacy?  How do you know for sure?  

When it comes to EV charging, just give me an ordinary 240v receptacle and 
I'll be fine, thanks.  A circuit breaker is all the "smarts" I need.  

In fact, I kind of wish someone would develop an interface that does the 
exact opposite of this -- makes a smart EVSE dumb.
