A smart EVSE adds convenience. Great. What does it subtract from your privacy? How do you know for sure? When it comes to EV charging, just give me an ordinary 240v receptacle and I'll be fine, thanks. A circuit breaker is all the "smarts" I need. In fact, I kind of wish someone would develop an interface that does the exact opposite of this -- makes a smart EVSE dumb.
