Just a long shot... I have an Avcon PowerPak. I opened it up a few weeks ago to measure the AC current it actually draws while charging my Leaf. I noticed that they used 0.25" quick-connects to connect the AC power. One of them had turned brown, and the other was black! 0.25" quick-connects are *not* good for more than about 15 amps. These would certainly have failed if I hadn't noticed the discoloration. I'm not sure what the failure mode of the Avcon would be, but it may be worth taking a look at your AC input connections. Maybe it would detect the excessive voltage drop on the AC line, and shut down? -- Excellence does not require perfection. -- Henry James -- Lee A.
