Collin, Thanks for the info. Wikipedia lists the motor as being a permanent magnet DC motor but we know how inaccurate Wikipedia can be. I do still have an old 6.7 inch DC motor that I had in a previous EV. I suppose I could use that until I can afford something bigger like a 9 incher. ANd who knows, maybe I'll be happy with the 6 inch motor. It will be a couple of years before I can save up the money and buy the components before I can pull the engine and put in a motor. Thanks again for the advice.
