John, It probably is best to contact EMW to see if they have a Chademo controller for the car side, if all that you want is to wire your battery connections out to a Chademo inlet through a contactor for DC quick charging, then the part inside our car looks exactly like an EVSE meaning that it just communicates and controls the contactor to allow charging, without being in the way of the actual flow of energy. Of course, it also communicates to the BMS and sends updates to the actual (offboard) DC charger to make sure that the pack does not get over-charged. Again, check with EMW if they have that side of the communication, since they have implemented (and reverse-engineered) the Chademo communication with help from Leaf owners and their own vehicles.
