The vehicle is owned by Ripley's Believe It or Not and normally kept on display at Ripley's Odditorium in Niagara Falls, Ont. Ripley's says licensed drivers who can fit in the three-wheeled car will be able to drive it for free on an indoor test track. The P50, custom made for Ripley's, is 1.4 metres long, one metre wide and weighs about 80 kilograms. It is powered by a four-horsepower electric motor and has a top speed of 45 kilometres an hour. The original Peel P50s were built in the 1960s on the Isle of Man. The show runs Feb. 13-22 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
