I wonder where these wags were when Smart announced that their electric 
version would have ED. ;-)

For all that, IMO nothing in the accidental automotive double entendre 
department has yet quite topped what Chrysler Corporation almost did in the 
early 1970s.  I read at the time (and I see that Wikipedia has picked it up) 
that senior marketing execs were pretty far down the road toward launching 
Dodge's version of the popular Plymouth Duster before someone more junior 
pointed out the potential downside of calling it the Dodge Beaver.  They 
quickly rechristened it the Dodge Demon.  (That name ultimately generated 
other sorts of controversy, however.)
