FWIW, I ran LeSled on a single Vicor DC/DC for awhile. My house battery was small, and the combination was far from ideal. My Zilla frequently threw "low 12V" codes. IMHO, a single Vicor brick is insufficient unless your house battery is capable of carrying the whole load for a whole charge all by itself. In that scenario the Vicor is there only to keep the battery topped off.
In my case I need a small house battery, so I used the Vicor to drive a water cooled surplus 3-brick Mega-Mod. Overkill in the opposite direction, but I have room for the Mega-Mod - not a bigger battery.
