Hi Claire,Pln,Jun,Charles,Jason,Oshiro and all, Claire, being a traveller may be only a dream which would never come true. In real life,I rarely have opportunities to acquire knowedge in various ways except campus .Since failing to live in that life, I cannot choose but imagine.:)
well,I also think study is only a part of life, yet faceing the onging experiments,an avalanche of book lists, various abhored examinations and regulations linked with degree... I have nothing to do but work hard.I have to say that learning almost flood my whole life, and so,this morning I asked myself "why I am so tired and busy that having no time to think and do something what I want?" ,the result of this,I skip boring classes. Although I am not a good sudent in teachers' view,I have autonomy, that mean that it is never obligatory to learn anything.Maybe it seems to be a little naive, while I will continue to seek.:) The sun is shining today,it's good for outdoor activities,so I am going to ride. Have a nice day to all, vera On 10月15日, 上午4时23分, claire <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello Vera Jun Jin Jason Gail Charles Ed Pln Oshiro Alberto Chaya > Simone and all, > > Vera,I quite understand why you think being a traveller is better than > a scholar or a post graduate student. > However,I thnik differently as I used to travel a lot as an > independant traveller. > It's far more interesting to mingle with the locals by > working, studying or living together with them than spending some short > period of time exploring places alone. The second interactions with the > locals are much too shallow, too superficial and too short in my > opinion.;) > > I suppose it all depends on your own attitudes toward the place you > choose to study. > Students in European countries don't think studies are everything in > their life. > In their mind,education/knowledge can be acquired in various ways > which means they cannot only be confined in the classroom or on the > campus, but also through travelling and clubbing with fellow students > from other countries or discussing current issues with > professors, local acquaintances...:) > > There's something else I've observed from Asian students. > They seem quite determined to finish their studies and care only about > their grade reports... > They tend to forget to look around their surroundings... > Sometimes it's hard for them to smile because of the heavy load of > books to study...:( > > And it's not as glamorous or easy as you think to switch from one > culture to another... > We have to learn from hilarious or embarrassing mistakes on a daily > basis when two extreme cultures collide!!! > And this,Pln and I will share with you later when similar situations > occur or new threads started...LOL > > Good night, > Claire > > On Oct 12, 6:50 pm, <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > Hello Claire Gail Pln Jason Charles Vera Ed and all, > > > I always think that if you think you can, you can.
