Dear pln and members, Thanks pln very much. This is really a very useful advice for me and all the members of our group. We know that the more we write, the better our language ability becomes. And I believe that all of us want to write more and more in order to improving our language and also our thinking, debating skills. However, a very common difficulty for great numbers of people is how to start and keep on a discussion, what they should write in replying a discussion. And your advice is extremely a great tip helping people to deal with this problem. Thanks again for your useful advice.
Besides, from my own experiences, I have a tip to help start and expand our writing when we face the problem above. There's nothing special but I found it quite useful for me when I start learning to express my opinions because my language skills was not so good. It's very simple. In English, we have many phrases and patterns which help us to start a sentence or discussion such as "In my opinion", "for me", "I think", "in reality", "in fact", "according to",... (most of them are adverbs). We can start our conversations by using these patterns. Obviously, this is only a very small example of this kind of pharase. There're many others similarly and you can discover it by yourselves. When learning a foreign language, we often want to write as many as possible as long as the writing is logical and relevant. A logical pattern for a paragraph includes a topic sentence, one or two example for the topic, explanations (answering the question: Why) for the examples, and a conclusion. In order to expand your writing, you can add any of these elements to support your previous sentences. These tips are very common. They're told repeatedly in writing and skeaking guide books. Nevertheless, I still want to share here in my own words in case someone haven't known yet. Hello Nam Javad Nguyen and all other members old and new, It's very encouraging for the once most active member like me to see quite a few new active members like you,and let's not forget to mention Elham since my absence!!! Keep up the good work that you all have been doing! I wish I could be as active as before, but it's impossible under my present circumstances. If I may give you all active members a tip, form your own pack and stick to them whenever they reply to you. It's this kind of bonding that keeps you all go on writing and networking. Happy posting N networking!
