Dear all, Thanks Jet for a very persuasive discussion. Seems you're very interested in basketball and also an enthusiastic fan or player ^_^ Just deeply absorbed in economic side, I forgot the most fundamental goal of sporting events. They're obviously big chances and also greatest challenges for all athletes, who want to break the world records as well as win (surpass) themselves. The bigger an event is, the more challenging and interesting it becomes.
I'm the sort of people who like many things in this world. And I have a great passion for sport games that I have participated in. When I was a very small child, I liked playing football very much. I spent nearly all the time playing that game with my friends, some of them were older than me ^_^ I was quite strong and skillful, so they nominated me as the captain of my team. When my family moved to the town, I no longer hold that position, however every time I return to my village, they always invited me to play with them. It was really a sweet memory of my childhood. When moving to the town, I played football less frequently but luckily I had a chance to discovere my another hobby - martial arts, the only sport in which I spent more than 5 years of practicing and got one star black belt ^_^ For me, sport gives me much more than a healthy life-style. It provides (equipts) me with a lot of useful skills and experiences. Being Interested in hearing your oppinions! Please let me try to talk this topic a little and wait for your correction. Cultural and sporting events play roles in our society by the following sides. First of all, those events can tell ways to do exercises. In the other words, people can learn skills from the event and choose the favorite one to do. For instance, because of NBA, a number of young people love playing basketball, and they interact through the basketball and communicate very easily when playing this game. Secondly, cultural and sporting events also can bring economic benefits for our society. Without any doubt, in one popular competition, for example NBA, the income is very shocking, encouraging and inspiring. Finally, more and more research shows that cultural and sporting events will be able to change people's life style and help build a healthy attitude of facing life. Sports can make us more happy, lead us more active to attend the opening party and also give us more smarter idea when making decision. Obviously, cultural and sporting events can bring lots of goodness to our society, and from my point of view, such kinds of events should be opened frequently timely. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ESL Podcast".
