Dear all,

This is not only a financial crisis, but a global economic depression, which
could be compared with the Great Depression in 1929. Thus, its effects are not
limited within some countries but all countries in the world, with no
exception. The more integrative a country is, the worse effects the country is
suffered. This principle is clearly undeniable. The remaining problem is how
serious the crisis affects your country.

My country,Vietnam, joined WTO two years ago, in Dec 2006. It means Vietnam is
at a high level of intergration, and therefore be affected seriously from the
depression. Everyone can easily realize the difficult situation. The inflation
has been increasing rapidly while the production has been decreasing sharply.
These have been pushing most businesses, manufactures into extreme
difficulties, even bankruptcies. Workers, staffs are being dismissed,
unemployment is becoming more serious than ever. For fresh graduates, even
those from famous universities, finding a good job in this period of time is
really a difficult task. I am a practical example ^_^ Some friends advice me to
futher my education instead of looking for a job in such situation. It's quite
reasonable. Period of depression is the time for people to stop working, take a
rest and gain some more education. This is the plan that I'm pursuing and I
even don't know how far I could go.

Hope to hear more of your opinions!

Cheers,
Nam
