Hello, I need help on how to silently install and enable a Firefox Add-on within an organization.
Some background: I am the product owner at an software company that help organizations to track and optimize their software spend by visuaizing software usage across the enterprise, including cloud-based applications. We have developed an add-on that monitors usage of certain web applications, we want this add-on to be installed by our Inventory agent that is installed locally on every computer. Our customer is the companies/organizations, and to provide a good and smooth experience, we would like to provide a way of installing our add-on without any need for end-user input, and without having our customer to re-package their installation medias. Our Inventory agent runs with high privileges (localsystem on Windows, sudo on Linux/macOS), so technically we are able to do anything that is needed to have the add-on enabled silently. If anyone could help us on how to accomplish this it would be highly appreciated, Best Regards, Joel Sanderi _______________________________________________ Enterprise mailing list [email protected] https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/enterprise To unsubscribe from this list, please visit https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/enterprise or send an email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe"
