Mike,

I'd recommend PDQ Deploy. I use it in conjunction with PDQ Inventory to scan
and deploy to my environment of around 500 machines. Very simple and easy to
use; I have the paid levels, but there are free levels available as well.
Overall very inexpensive in terms of utility and training. It runs off of my
workstation too, so don't even need a server for it.

Some offsubject theme, but a question for all about SCCM in general:

what system are you use?
excludes big paid systems and self-written systems, because i have no resources
to pay/implement/write it.

a windows domain, based on samba 4, about 100 workstations, mainly windows 7
pro.
What free simple system (if it exists :) are fit for requirements like this?
For example, are somebody using WPKG (WPKG.ORG) ?

There are package for firefox, and it seems actual:
http://wpkg.org/Firefox
