Hi Longina, Pidgin + SIPE works with Lync today. If you have encryption set as optional in the server you will have IM, Audio/Video calls working.
If you have encryption as mandatory you'll only have IM working. Our goal is to get encrypted audio/video working + desktop screen sharing, but we have not started development yet.
