That wasn't what I was trying to say, Andy. Freenode is an irc server and we all know it. And it works IF you can find an acceptable alias name. But it seems all the names I want use are already taken (by me) so I have been denied. Many times. Forums, another breed of com utility, but if you forget your password, you are denied the ability to create a new account because you are already known. And because you are known your can request a passwd change token that never arrives. Wash rinse and repeat, till you give up. So once again you're blocked from posting. If you are known, then by God fix the passwd recovery so it works. It really is that simple. I've had a fixed ipv4 address for into the second decade now, and in this case it is not an advantage. And I have one email address, also unchanged in over a decade. Cheers, Gene Heskett -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
