I'm screwed up, the g0704 won't turn its spindle. I apparently originally had enabled 2 pwmgens in the loadrt statement. And because there is zero mention of pwm anyplace in a 7i76D interface card, I apparently paralleled the 2 pwmgens and used the outputs of pwmgen.1 thru a std bob on the 5i25's p2 connector to drive your pwm-servo amp but using the marked enable and dir signals from the 7i76D. But now I've cleaned that out of the hal and am fixing to make a dual H-bridge driven axis A in mode 2 for the motor I'm putting on a BS-1. I'll put a home switch on the BS-1 spindle, and this motor has a build in index-less quadrature encoder, so I ought to be able to make it think its a servo.
But I've lost my spindle. And somehow, my comments in the .hal file didn't point out this detail. So in desperation I drug out the scope, and found the outputs of pwmgen.0 on the step-4 terminals of the 7i75D's TB3, pin-2 inverted, pin-3 right side up. This is a rail to rail, meaning about a 5.11 volts peak to peak nice square wave, with its bottom sitting on the ground rail. Can I feed that without any further treatment, into the + terminal, pin 2 of your pwm-servo? Or at 5 volts, do I need a protective R in that wire? Thanks Jon.
