Oh, a yooper now? I've spent some time in the Iron Mountain area. Winters
are bad but its sure is pretty in greenup weather.

No poisonous snakes, but ticks by the ton in warmer weather. And since
I've met most of the radio eng people up there, I could make a nice
supplemental income keeping the local radio folks on the air. They are
hurting for transmitter talent, badly. Because I knew something about tv
transmitters, I was some sort of a $DIETY to them. :)

Nah, I'm what the Yoopers call a Troll.  I live beneath the bridge. ;-)  I'm a little over an hour south of the Mackinac Bridge just outside the small town of Grayling Michigan.  We got some rattlers up here though, along with the ticks, and the Michigan State Bird, the mosquito.  Lotsa trees, lotsa wild game, and lotsa fishing. Sportsmans Paradise.  It do get a little chilly in the winter up here though.  ;-)
