My latency test is good, seems to be 4uS pretty reliably. Old athlon dual core desktop which I doubt you can get any more. My only further issue was getting the hostmot2-firmware to install along with linuxcnc. It apt-get complained about hostmot2-firmware being requested but not found. I think the linuxcnc package should probably install hostmot2-firmware-all. Ended up installing hostmot2-firmware-5i20 by hand once I figured out that's what I wanted. I am using master-rt, the 2.5-branch-rt failed for some reason I didn't bother to note and master worked. So I installed and moved on.
