Copyrights notwithstanding, I have seen some stuff I would love to scan
using the mill to raster scan at 5 to 10 thou steps, but then I recall the
one time I did that, it was about a week to a very poor copy at 50 thou
steps/pixels. And obviously an artistic train wreck. My current probe is
designed to follow gentle curves, and would need a tip sized to match the
final carving bit. A renesas it isn't. Material removal wise, a probe
with interchangeable tips, a 1/4" and a ball mill to match, then an 1/8
inch & mill to match, and about 5 repeats later you might have a final file
that looked pretty good.

I hear that!

I dunno, I always enjoy seeing the results of our work, even if I am
basically a copy cat about things done here.

What we should be better at doing is bottom posting, and trimming the stuff
off the top that everyone has already read. :D
