I am using Intel D525MW mini-ITX boards in my machines. It has the same chipset and CPU, but strangely enough - passive CPU cooling, without fan. It has pretty good latency numbers - below 10K ns, some users are reporting even 3-5K ns latency numbers with hyperthreading disabled in BIOS and with 1 CPU core isolated to realtime with isolcpus=1 grub boot parameter. I just did the same for my current build and I am getting latency around 6-7K ns. -- Viesturs If you can't fix it, you don't own it. http://www.ifixit.com/Manifesto ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Live Security Virtual Conference Exclusive live event will cover all the ways today's security and threat landscape has changed and how IT managers can respond.
