The Storebro project is proceeding. Some measurements wil soon be presented on my site because they are part of low level motor control and should therefore be of general interest for the group. The related electronics drawings are there already.
The machine magically started to function again during testing, I suspect the reason is I was just fiddling with the cards and it's connectors who sometimes may cause you trouble as I'm sure most of you know. So now I know who some signals looks like when the Lathe is healthy and that's good of course. Problem is, I believe the malfunction will return sooner or later but now I have a reference and that's great. > I had been fighting with IGES conversion to CATIA or > Autocad since about 1995 and never got anything satisfying out of it. > Forget it if you want to be productive. Well, this is a production issue because one of SMPs customers delivered iges files with pdf-versions of their drawings. I have in fact found a plotting SW for iges who plots the details nicely in wireframe and solid modes but creating milling paths from iges would be nice. > What about your lathe: "broken" seems to signify some electric defect? > Lathes don't "break" apart. > > Peter > Roger, > hur star det till? As mentioned above the iges qusetion was raised unknowingly by a customer. The toolchain is for the moment nonexisting because previous works in the shop has been done with very basic SW tools. Thanks Kent for your tip about Cascade, I will check that up! / Roger ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ For Developers, A Lot Can Happen In A Second.
