Thanks Andy. I suspect there is no standard. I suppose another question
might be, what is a typical rail spacing? Then, I can keep my device a
little less than the spacing dimension. Although, it looks like these
will do what I want.

The breadboard rat's nest on my Shizuoka is getting on my nerves,
although it's only been a couple of years since I temporarily jury
rigged it. For the project I'm thinking of, the DIN breakout board would
have dip sockets for each I/O pin which could have a jumper to pass the
C26 buffered signals or have a plug in module for isolation and/or
signal conditioning. Plus have a set of terminals such that each signal
could have its own return. It should be fairly easy to layout and have
PC boards made.
