There's also a nifty little program on most *nix boxen
called "dos2unix." The syntax to use this command line utility is
dos2unix <original file> <output file>. There are a number of
qualifiers you can add to the command. Check "man dos2unix". This
utility takes Windows formatted text files and converts them to Unix
type text files.
