Les, I have a hal component I use to change a four speed gearbox on a mill. It uses the requested speed to choose which gear. Is there overlap of speeds in the gear ranges? How are you wanting to set the gear range? Do you want it to stay in a range until you want to change the gear range - ie - not dependent upon the speed request OR do you want the control to select the gear range depending upon the speed request?
