It is a bug that the tool offsets affect the machine coordinate display in AXIS. This will be fixed in EMC2.3.2. But, this is not related to the problem you are having. It is only a display anomaly. > It is certainly very frustrating to be told that you will exceed your > limits when you are actually inches inside them. I can't answer this or guess what is wrong unless you give a very specific example, something like this: In the ini file the min and max limits for X are ___ and ___. If I have a tool table entry that says ___, (or I used tool length touch off like so: ___) when I then program G43 H__ I see the display change like so: ___. Next, when I try to move to G01 X___, I get the error ___. I think it's wrong because ___. Also be sure that you have no G54 offset (G10 L2 P1 X0 Z0; G54) and no G92 offset (G92.1) or by zeroing them with the "Machine/zero coordinate system" menu. Or, if you do have these offsets for some reason, say what they are and how you set them. This whole affair with offsets can be super confusing, and while I'm pretty sure it all works correctly and you are just making a mistake somehow, it's possible there is a bug. My lathe is inch and I do most of my testing there. That's why I'm asking for a very specific bug report.
