I have the same machine. I think it's a good candidate for conversion. The servo supply transformer is three phase so even with a VFD you will still need three phase power unless you replace it (I will replace mine.) Other than that transformer and the spindle motor, nothing else on the machine is three phase. The amps are velocity mode with +-10 inputs. I will be driving them with the Mesa family of cards. There is nothing unusual about the machine and I don't know of any gotchas. I have repaired various things on it and am very familiar with it, but I haven't converted mine yet. You can punch in a program in "MDI STORE" mode. It is painstaking. Do a CLEAR/PROG/ALL first. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Emc-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/emc-users
