In my interface between the Arduino board and HAL, the first line of the
sample hal file is
loadusr -W arduino /dev/ttyUSB0 3
this runs the python script (which is actually at
/home/jepler/bin/arduino on my particular system) as a userspace
component.
Python programs aren't ever realtime components.
