Hi Amund UN38.3 only addresses battery transportation, covering both expected conditions and likely mishandling / abuse situations, to demonstrate that they are safe to transport. The battery isn’t usually operational during this phase of its life.
So although some tests are similar, UN38.3 cannot be considered an alternative to IEC 62133-2.
