Dear Members, We have a product being developed which will use a pre-approved radio which has WiFi and Bluetooth. The radio is a 2.4 GHz module with less than 10mW of transmit power I am trying to determine to what RED standard(s) I must test the final product. I posed this question to a local Southern California lab, and I was told they were not allowed to answer as the manufacturer has to make that determination. We have had other similar SRD products tested by various labs, before my time, and some of them were tested to EN 300-440 and others to EN 301-489. I have looked at this new radio's FCC Grant and it doesn't say what the end-user must do-and same with the radio manufacturer, who cannot answer. I even looked into the ERC Recommendation 70-03 and also the ETSI search tool and could not find a definitive answer. The radio is a 2.4 GHz module with less than 10mW of transmit power. Any advise you can give me on will be much appreciated. Ryan Jayasinghe Regulatory Compliance Engineer [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>
