Two separate commands serve much the same purpose from the author's point of view:

- C-c C-x b (org-tree-to-indirect-buffer) opens an indirect buffer for the subtree

- C-x n s (org-narrow-to-subtree) narrows the existing buffer to the subtree

Both of these "hoist" the subtree outline to focus the workspace and are invaluable for large writing projects.

Is there any preference (so far as org is concerned)? Are there any "gotchas" that I should note?

Thanks for any comments,
Alan
