That is strange, it looks like you've been picking up an old version of org-mode that then finds the git version later on. > Anything stick out or suggestions of further checks? It looks like you're trying to use the work tree like an installed org-mode. In this case you should do this: make cleanall make all autoloads …otherwise you'll be keeping around a stale copy of org-install.el (whcih you probably require somewhere in .emacs).
