Hi Ihor,

first of all: Sorry for labeling this as [BUG], I just used M-x org-submit-bug-report. It should have better been labeled as [Feature Suggestion] or [Question].

Maybe there is a simple fix in org-agenda-goto itself?

Users are supposed to customize the popup behavior via
display-buffer-alist.

Ok, I added the following to my config now, and hope it satisfies my need:

#+begin_src emacs-lisp
(add-to-list 'display-buffer-alist
               '((lambda (buffer action)
                   (with-current-buffer buffer
                     (org-agenda-file-p)))
                 (display-buffer-reuse-window
                  display-buffer-pop-up-frame)))
#+end_src

I do not think that there is a bug here.

I agree that this is not a bug. It should have been phrased as a feature suggestion: My mail was meant to ask if there exists or if it's worth to add some user option to define the desired actions, as you also suggest here:

If you really can't find a way to customize the display, we might
consider adding a user option[...].

But in the long run, it's probably a better idea to get familiar with and make use of display-buffer-alist. This opens opportunities in other contexts as well.

Thank you for your time and explanations!

Best Regards,
nutcase
